Why is it that I always have to travel out of the Syracuse area to see a good rock/metal club show? It's hard to go anywhere now a days w/the way gas
prices are and that's where all the shows are (Darien Lake, Saratoga, Turning Stone). Sure the Lost Horizon is open again and Joe is doing his best to get
some type of national acts there (even though I've never heard of any of them that he is listing lately, where's the old school metal???). The only
thing I look forward to is to see who's playing at the fair and usually it's a crappy country show or something real lame. Thank god Uncle Ted is
playing another free show at Chevy Court. Actually the fair has better freebie shows than actual pay shows. At least some rock acts are starting to come back
like Styx, Journey (even though they are still not Journey unless Steve Perry is singing), Heart, Cheap Trick, etc. Anyway back to club shows, alas another
year where I have to go to Rochester to see Overkill in October. Oh well.................
